A well-established and growing Personal Injury firm in Sacramento is seeking a motivated Contract Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience, receive direct mentorship from a Senior Partner, and build a long-term career in plaintiff-side personal injury law.

This role offers a clear path to permanent hire based on performance and fit.


Position Overview

The firm is looking for an early-career attorney (0-2 years of experience) who is eager to learn, take initiative, and develop strong litigation skills. This is a hands-on role where you will be directly involved in law and motion work, case strategy, and client development.

You will work closely with a Senior Partner who is committed to providing meaningful mentorship and professional growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and argue law and motion (motions, pleadings, discovery, etc.)
  • Assist with case strategy and litigation support from intake through resolution
  • Conduct legal research and writing
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and vendors
  • Participate in client development and relationship-building efforts
  • Support trial preparation as needed

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to the California Bar (or pending results)
  • 0-2 years of legal experience (personal injury experience is a plus but not required)
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and grow in plaintiff litigation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate (DOE) but once perm between the range of $120,000-$150,000
  • Potential for conversion to a permanent position with full benefits
